Debate is a fun and structured way to explore different sides of a topic by sharing and defending your ideas with others. In a debate, people take turns presenting their points, listening carefully, and responding respectfully. The goal isn’t just to “win” an argument, but to learn how to think critically, speak clearly, and back up your ideas with facts.
In the Debate Club, students get the chance to grow their public speaking and research skills while having thoughtful conversations about real-world issues. It’s a great way to build confidence, learn to see things from different perspectives, and become a stronger communicator—both in and out of the classroom.
